News consumption has jumped since the beginning of the outbreak of COVID-19, so Lonergan Research recently put research out into the field to understand how news consumers feel about the news coverage of the COVID-19 crisis in Australia.

- 70 per cent of Australians are satisfied with the media coverage of the effect and spread of COVID-19.
- More than 80 per cent are satisfied with media coverage of health and prevention advice. Fewer though, 66 per cent, are satisfied with the coverage of the economic impact of the virus.
- More than a quarter of those surveyed say they want more coverage of other local and international news and events.
