Thrive PR ups investment in Queensland with new GM appointment

Thrive PR + Communications has appointed Lee McLean to the newly created role of General Manager, Thrive Queensland. Lee has three decades as a communications specialist in the Queensland market across corporate, government and PR consultancies, and was formerly National Senior Counsel and Brisbane General Manager of PPR. Her sector expertise spans mining, construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and retail.

Lee's appointment as GM follows the relocation to Brisbane of Georgia Bainbridge, Thrive's Head of Integration, Digital and Content, and Pete Fairbairn, Group Account Director of Sport. They joined Amanda Gormley, who returned to the agency earlier in the year as Customer Experience Manager, in the agency's new premises, close to the Howard Smith Wharves precinct.

Thrive Founder and Managing Director, Leilani Abels, said: “Lee is a smart and empathetic leader. Her appointment marks a milestone for our agency, giving us senior leadership and management experience in Queensland at a new level. It’s an incredible opportunity for our team on the ground to learn and grow, and for our local clients".
