Reporting to:
Senior Account Manager / Vice President
 
Role Overview
The role of the Junior Account Manager will be to manage commercial relationships with premium / luxury clients in the lifestyle sector who are seeking to activate multi-market / multi-brand advertising partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of the landscape across lifestyle and the ability to consult with clients on effective marketing strategies and initiatives.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and tactical support to the Vice President
  • Day to day client contact and manage client expectations
  • Generate feature placement in appropriate titles
  • Ensure production of quality work, on brief, on time and on budget 
  • Assist senior team members in managing PR campaigns for diverse clients from conception to completion
  • Working with our in-house events team to manage launch events 
  • Ability to develop credentials and proposals with support from your Vice President
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the media developments and spot opportunities for PURPLE and your clients
  • Presentation skills and assisting with pitch documents
  • Be a brand champion, an expert on PR knowledge and build key relationships
  • Delivering coverage across online and offline, and leverage added value from all PR activity
  • Own all media relations and to continue to develop and maintain relationships with key journalists
  • Monitor PURPLE brand placement / exposure, ensuring all communication and activity are on-brand
  • Work closely with the other business channels within PURPLE to ensure campaigns are thoroughly planned and executed in good time 
  • Work with the Vice President to compile a seasonal calendar of PR activity
Skills and Experience
  • 3-4 years of relevant proven experience, gained within an established agency or an in-house marketing team.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute PR strategies that enhance brand reputation, increase awareness, and align with PURPLE’s initiatives.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, capable of analyzing complex information, providing data-driven recommendations and taking decisive, action-oriented steps.
  • Composed and flexible under pressure, thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with a strong focus on accountability and results. You exhibit a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Discreet, professional, and articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and methodical, complemented by a practical, common-sense approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrates initiative and brings innovative ideas to consistently champion the PURPLE ideology.
  • Combines creativity with strategic thinking to deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Established network of PR press contacts; international press relationships are an added advantage.
  • Strong presentation ability and outstanding writing skills.
  • Experienced at identifying and leveraging communication opportunities across diverse media platforms.
  • Proficient in MS Word, with working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
