We are looking for an experienced freelance writer with a sharp eye for storytelling, a strong command of language and a flair for crafting engaging features that resonate with Malaysian readers.

What You’ll Do:

• Pitch and write compelling lifestyle, human interest,or current affairs features
• Interview and conduct background research to support each story
• Write in a clear, conversational and reader-friendly tone
• Work with editors to fine-tune story angles and meet editorial guidelines
• Deliver clean, well-structured copy on deadline
• Provide / suggest visual elements to complement your articles

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience writing for newspapers, magazines or online publications
• Excellent grasp of narrative structure and journalistic ethics
• Ability to write for a general audience in an engaging, accessible style
• Strong interviewing and research skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines reliably
• Bonus: Familiarity with Malaysian current affairs, culture and lifestyle topics
