ABC to establish Geelong pop-up newsroom
The ABC has announced it will launch a pop-up Radio in Residency newsroom in Geelong, Victoria. The month-long residency will run during October, located on Deakin University's Waterfront campus. The initiative will allow the ABC to explore stories and issues affecting the local Geelong community.
Broadcasters involved in the pop-up newsroom include ABC Radio Melbourne's Virginia Trioli, Jacinta Parsons and Brian Nankervis. Programmes including Coodabeen Champions and The Conversation Hour will also be presented from the pop-up newsroom.
A full schedule, including live broadcasts and events, will be released in September.
