Bauer Media Australia to cease eight titles
Mercury Capital's magazine arm, recently purchased from Bauer Media, has announced the closure of eight titles in Australia, Harper’s BAZAAR Australia, ELLE Australia, InStyle, Men’s Health Australia, Women’s Health Australia, Good Health, NW and OK! Australia, due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. These titles were suspended in May due to the impact of travel restrictions on transit-reliant titles, such as NW and OK! Australia, and declining advertising revenue for the other affected brands. A number of staff across these titles were stood down due to a stoppage of work, with Bauer holding further conversations with affected teams, with the aim of finding them alternative employment across the business.
