Bevan Shields announced as Editor of The Sydney Morning Herald
The Sydney Morning Herald has appointed Bevan Shields as its next Editor. Bevan will commence the role in January 2022, following his return from London, where he has been working as the Europe Correspondent for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. Prior to that he spent five years based in Canberra as Federal Editor and Canberra Bureau Chief for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
Bevan replaces Lisa Davies, who departed the masthead in November after close to five years in the role.
