Maureen Frame has joined the University of the Sunshine Coast as Associate Director Strategic Communications. The new role puts her in charge of the strategic media relations, corporate communications and internal communications teams at the university. Maureen has amassed more than 20 years' experience in communications and marketing, including at Queensland University of Technology, Australian Catholic University and Griffith University.

Meanwhile, Janelle Kirkland has stepped into a new role as Senior Media and Communications Officer. She has been with the university for nearly five years, initially joining as Media Relations Coordinator. Janelle was previously at the University of Queensland as Senior Communications Officer, following a mix of communications, writing, and reporting roles at the Queensland Government, Hawke's Bay Today and The Gisborne Herald.
