Filipinas named finalists in 2024 Pulitzer Prizes

Washington Post's Investigative Reporter Nicole Dungca, Freelance Photojournalist Hannah Reyes Morales, and visual artist Ren Galeno were named finalists in this year's Pulitzer Prizes for journalism and the arts administered by Columbia University in New York, US. Hannah was recognised for her work under the Feature Photography category for her contribution on the New York Times story, How the Youth Boom in Africa Will Change the World. Meanwhile, a team of journalists including Nicole, Ren, and Claire Healy were named finalists for the story, Searching for Maura, under the Illustrated Reporting and Commentary category.

The 2024 Pulitzer Prizes are comprised of 23 categories with over 1,200 entries in journalism, literature, drama, and music. For the full list of winners, read more here.
