Filtered Media and Social Impact Institute merge, creating new agency

Brand storytelling agency, Filtered Media, and social consultancy and advisory firm, The Social Impact Institute, have completed a merger to form ImpactInstitute. The new agency aims to help corporate and social sector organisations across Australia to create measurable impact with stories that matter. The merger creates a 25-strong team headquartered in Sydney, with Filtered's Mark Jones as CEO, Social Impact Institute's David Jack as Executive Chair and Head of Advisory, and Paula Cowan as General Manager.

Mark Jones says the merger builds on shared ambitions to serve purpose-driven organisations: "COVID-19 transformed the way leaders in corporate, government and social sector organisations think about purpose. They know a purpose statement isn’t good enough on its own. To be effective, an organisation’s purpose must be experienced - felt, touched, heard and seen by customers, staff and stakeholders alike. I’m thrilled to lead a team with a shared passion and deep experience helping clients find and express their purpose in ways that matter.”

The ImpactInstitute has a combined client roster of more than 30 corporate, government and social sector organisations, including UNHCR, University of NSW, Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia and the RSPCA.
