Guardian Australia joins Google's News Showcase

Guardian Australia has finalised a commercial agreement with Google to feature its news content on the News Showcase product, following weeks of negotiation. The publication will be able to control which of its stories are made available to News Showcase readers, and how those stories are presented. Google has now confirmed agreements with over 50 Australian media companies, and more than 500 across the globe.
