John Reed appointed Financial Times’s South Asia Bureau Chief

John Reed has recently been appointed as the new South Asia Bureau Chief for the Financial Times. Based in New Delhi, John oversees breaking news, government, politics, as well as business, finance, economic policies, banking and investment in the region. Joined the FT in 2000, John was working as Foreign Correspondent / Business Reporter in London, Johannesburg, and Warsaw. He was also Jerusalem Bureau Chief and South-East Asia Correspondent / Bangkok Bureau Chief, and contributed to the FT's coverage of the war in Ukraine in 2014 and 2022.
