Leadership changes at Havas; James Wright returns to Oz

James Wright has returned to Australia, taking on a new role with Havas Group as CEO Havas Creative Network Australia. This will see him take on responsibility for agencies Host/Havas, h/commerce, Red Havas, Havas Blvd, One Green Bean and Organic. He will also be continuing in his role as Global CEO Red Havas and Global Chairman of the Havas PR Global Collective.

James spent seven years with Havas in Australia, including as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer of Havas Australia Group, before moving to the US in 2018 to take the Australian founded Red Havas brand global. Red Havas has now expanded to 24 offices across 14 markets.

James said: “Whilst I have always kept close to the Australian market and teams during my time in New York, I am delighted to be back in my spiritual home where we have a world class roster of agencies, talent, clients, and opportunity. I am looking forward to working with our senior management teams in the Havas Village to forge an exciting new chapter for the Group.”

Havas has also announced the appointment of Gayle While as CEO at creative agency, Host/Havas. She joins from Dentsu, where she was Chief Client Officer, and had previously been CEO at Clemenger BBDO.
