LEWIS reveals research findings on Gen Z and the future of the workplace

LEWIS has launched a report into Gen Z and the future of the workplace, conducted in support of the UN’s HeForShe movement. The findings showed that the generation born between 1996 and 2010 expect CEOs to commit to solving social issues, with just one in five willing to work for a company that doesn’t share their values. It also revealed that Gen Z have high expectations of leadership, with many looking to senior staff to drive change.

Below are the key findings for APAC:
  • 50 per cent believe CEOs should be judged by their ability to innovate and lead their industry.
  • 34 per cent expect Senior Management to lead DEI efforts within companies, and 31 per cent believe this is the role of HR.
  • 41 per cent think ‘innovative’ is the most important quality in a CEO. Determination (39 per cent) and creativity (29 per cent) were the second and third most important qualities.
