Morrow Sodali acquires Citadel-MAGNUS
Stakeholder engagement and ESG advisory firm, Morrow Sodali, has announced its acquisition of financial and investor communication agency, Citadel-MAGNUS.
Morrow Sodali’s Australian operations in Sydney and Melbourne have expanded significantly over recent years to encompass stakeholder research and engagement, and a broad suite of ESG advisory and reporting services, including board and corporate governance advisory, executive compensation and sustainability.
Similarly, Citadel-MAGNUS, which operates out of Sydney and Perth, has grown a strategic communication business, providing advice to corporations on financial communication and investor relations, including M&A and IPO communication services.
CEO of Morrow Sodali’s International business, Christian Sealey, said the acquisition accelerates the firm’s objective to provide clients throughout the APAC region with strategic advice across an increasingly broad range of critical disciplines. “More and more, our clients are coming to us seeking advice and assistance across a wide array of areas covering shareholder communication, stakeholder engagement, capital market intelligence, corporate governance and ESG advisory. Acquiring Citadel-MAGNUS enables us to provide a broader range of strategic solutions for our clients."
Joint Managing Director of Citadel-MAGNUS, Peter Brookes, said, “The constantly shifting landscape of media and capital markets has led to the evolution of our business over recent years, including the creation of a leading investor relations practice. We are now seeing demand from clients for an end-to-end offering across the financial calendar and complex event driven activity where good communication is paramount. Joining Morrow Sodali is a natural evolution of our business."
The acquisition brings together more than 80 professionals across more than a dozen disciplines, servicing more than 400 ASX listed companies.
