National Union of Journalists Malaysia is organising a free webinar entitled Rights of Media Professionals in Malaysia on 16^th December (Wednesday) at 5.30pm. Moderated by Norman Goh, this forum will feature Qishin Tariq, committee member of National Union of Journalists Malaysia (NUJM) and President of the Institute of Journalists Malaysia (IoJM), Jerald Joseph, the Commissioner of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM), and New Sin Yew, a Solicitor and Counsel. This webinar will discuss the current media landscape in the country, existing legal framework for the media, and procedures for both avoiding charges and dealing with the ramifications.
