PERHUMAS hosted the 2022 Konvensi Humas Indonesia (The Indonesian Public Relations Convention) this week in Jakarta. The two-day event, themed "Indonesia's Inspiration to Move Forward Together", coincides with the PR organisation's 50th year anniversary. More than 25 industry leaders have gathered to unpack current issues in Indonesia's PR industry, including the increased focus on technology innovation, ESG and DEI for a sustainable economy. Boy Kelana Soebroto, Chairman of PERHUMAS shared three key highlights from this week's event, including:
  • The annual event's name has been changed from Konvensi Nasional Humas (National PR Convention) to Konvensi Humas Indonesia (The Indonesian Public Relations Convention) to showcase the organisation's focus on broadening its international remit.
  • The launch of Pertemuan Humas Muda Indonesia (Indonesian Young Public Relations Meetup) to prepare and support future PR leaders across the nation.
  • The official release of the "50 Years of PERHUMAS" book. The book explores PERHUMAS' evolution and continued commitment to the PR industry since its conception.
