Oxfam Pilipinas announces grant for story pitches on COVID-19-related inequalities
Humanitarian organisation Oxfam Pilipinas is inviting journalists to submit two story pitches each about inequalities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Oxfam will choose four Filipino journalists with the best story pitches for a one-time grant of PHP 25,000 to pursue and report the two stories for a media outlet they are affiliated with. Societal inequalities of interest are poverty and hunger, wealth gap, vaccine access, health care, gender inequality, and the climate crisis.
Interested journalists are encouraged to submit their CV, portfolio, and application letter that includes the two story pitches and the name of the news outlet where the articles will be published. Applications will be on a rolling basis until 10th December 2021, with Oxfam expecting the stories to be published between December 2021 and February 2022. Know more about this story grant here.
