Commonwealth Bank has appointed Pip Freebairn as Executive Manager, Government and Industry Affairs. She joins the team from Suncorp Group, where she'd worked in various roles since 2018, most recently heading the External Communications team. Prior to this, Pip was at the Australian Banking Association (ABA) as Policy Director - Future Banking, Economics and Industry Policy. 

Pip has also previously worked as a Press Secretary for the Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer in the former Labor Government, and as a Journalist at The Australian Financial Review.
