Publication Profile: danamic.

Tell us more about danamic. - what is the publication about and what does it aim to achieve?
danamic. is a Singapore-based editorial site that strives to provide the insight that people want and deserve from their publication. With an emphasis on real, honest, and relevant commentary, we hope to empower the community by delivering thoughtful views and perspectives on a wide range of topics and issues.

What sort of content do you publish, and how often?
Our content falls under the banner of five themes - Life, Arts, Music, Gaming, and Tech - ranging on topics like event coverage, feature pieces, reviews, longforms, and more. We typically publish articles every weekday (weekend publication is subject to embargoes)

We also have a few recurring article series that we publish on our website. Try What Now is a guide piece that shows the best events and experiences for people to try at the start of every month. Meanwhile, Tech Bytes condenses the biggest news stories from tech and gaming from the month into an easy to read article. Lastly, Passion Pursuits focuses on companies / people in Singapore doing what they love.

Who is danamic.’s target audience?
danamic. currently targets people from the ages of 18 to 30 who have an interest in product reviews, lifestyle experiences, guided information and opinionated content. While we predominantly target audiences in Singapore, we also peripherally target audiences in the United States and general Southeast Asian region, with our broader reaching topics such as Tech and Gaming. This is further done through our direct tie-ins to news aggregation channels such as Apple News, Bing PubHub, and Google News.

What is the publication’s editorial focus for the remainder of 2022?
The editorial team right now is focused on building up our readership numbers by pursuing the trends that people are looking out for as well as searching for stories with interesting angles to cover. We are also experimenting with complimenting key articles and coverage, with new media forms, such as IG Reels and TikTok.

What key trends or sectors are you following at the moment?
With the holiday season coming up in the next few months, we are looking for things that people can do or experience within that period. This includes topics like Travel, Lifestyle Events, Food and General Entertainment. If not, we’ve also been closely following shifts in Technology and Gaming, with the various showcases and launches.

Do you have any recent audience or readership figures to share?
We currently have a monthly reach of 50K, with 60% of these coming from Organic Search, rated at about 613K impressions on Google Search alone. Inside these numbers, 70% are from Singapore, with more than 12% coming from the US. Finally, 61% of our users have been classified as insightful technophiles, lifestyle shoppers and entertainment seekers based on their affinity and interest categories.

What does your ideal PR pitch look like? Are there any pitches you’d like to receive more (or less!) of?
Something that we look out for in pitches is on whether our readers’ interest would be piqued just by reading the title. If the pitch has an interesting angle and / or contains a human element to it, we would be open to doing something with it. Ideally, we like being able to talk to our subjects, and if not, gain a unique or exclusive perspective into their story. Bonus points if the pitch is direct and straightforward, and also allows our team the opportunity to activate our Content Creators to create our own visual content to go along with.
