Secret Thailand by Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia
Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia, in collaboration with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has produced a mini-docuseries Secret Thailand. The series features six destinations - Phuket, Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Ayutthaya, Bangkok and Trat - and in each episode, Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia uncovers the 'secret' side of Thailand through its curated itineraries for lesser-known but definitely great food and drink, culture, design, adventure, and interpersonal experiences. The series aims to introduce its audiences to gorgeous areas and fascinating aspects of Thailand they may have never known, from humbler local-style to elevated white-tablecloth dining, independently owned hotels from Thai brands, insider intel, and a vast range of experiences that visitors are unlikely to get without a friend in the know, all guided by fascinating locals on the ground who are passionate about their hometowns. As the project also aims to inspire people to go explore these places, they have partnered with Smiling Albino luxury travel company to ensure visitors can reserve the entirety of the trips (or customise them in consultation with these experts) shown in the series and in the Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia x TAT Secret Thailand print magazine published to round out this project.
