New Zealand creative communications agency, WAVE, has announced the appointment of two PR and Communication Specialists to join PR and Communications Lead, Michelle Riley, in response to increased demand for PR support from clients.

Anna Skerten has 18 years' experience working both in-house and in agencies in Aoteoroa / New Zealand and offshore, including Ask Jeeves in the UK and both Spark and Chorus New Zealand.

Ellen Hunt joins the team from Flight Centre Travel Group NZ, where she led the organisation's communications and media relations through COVID-19. She previously managed PR for Deliveroo in Australia and its operations in the UK and Ireland. Ellen started her career at Mediaworks NZ.

Managing Director of the Mount Maunganui-based agency, Glen Dougal, said requests for public relations support from clients across the country have increased over the years, "particularly as many companies tackle rapidly changing environmental, social and human resource challenges, and adapt to a post-COVID-19 world."
