By John Bergin

World Press Freedom Day falls tomorrow, Tuesday 3rd May. On this day, the world acknowledges the importance of a free and fair press.

To mark the occasion, Telum Media spoke with award-winning Australian journalist, Peter Greste. Peter, who is a Professor of Journalism for Macquarie University, has spent 25 years working for the BBC, Reuters and Al Jazeera in some of the world’s most dangerous places.

He was imprisoned in Cairo from 2013 to 2015, alongside two other Al Jazeera journalists, and has published a book, The First Casualty, detailing his experiences.
