Tourism Tasmania appoints Red Havas as global communications agency of record

Tourism Tasmania has appointed Red Havas as its global communications agency following a competitive tender process. The agency will be responsible for delivery of the global PR strategy and coordination across key markets.

Led by the Australian-based team, the global remit will be activated by the Red Havas network in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Singapore, with the United States supported on a campaign basis alongside the reappointed PR agency Julie Earle-Levine Consulting.

The Red Havas Global Hub based in Australia will be collaborating with Tourism Tasmania’s marketing team and global agency network to develop a global communications programme, to build awareness of the brand and drive visitation.

James Wright, Global CEO of Red Havas and CEO of Havas Creative Network Australia said: "Tasmania provides a rich source of storytelling and we are energised by the opportunity to capture the island’s culture and diversity, leveraging our deep credentials and relationships in key markets to encourage people to experience the destination. Having visited many times, I can say the feeling of the culture and environment is truly an antidote to the fast-paced and cluttered reality of today’s busy world."
