WPP Plc to become sole owner of AUNZ operations after shareholder vote
WPP Plc is set to become the sole owner of the local agency holding group, WPP AUNZ, following a shareholder vote in favour of the takeover. WPP Plc already held just over 60% of the WPP AUNZ shares, but will now acquire the remainder. WPP Plc will pay what WPP AUNZ Chairman, Robert Mactier described as a “significant transaction premium” for the shares, based on an improved outlook for the business. It is expected WPP AUNZ will cease to be listed on the ASX from mid-May.
