New council appointed at IPRS

The Institute of Public Relations Singapore (IPRS), announced the formation of a new Council that will lead the Institute over the next two years from April 2021 to March 2023. Koh Juat Muay will succeed Marcus Loh as President of the IPRS Council. As President, Juat Muay will be responsible for the role of the IPRS as Singapore’s industry champion and accreditation body for practitioners. Juat Muay brings to the IPRS more than 20 years of management experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors and has led both in-house and agency communications teams across various industries.

“The IPRS marked its 50th Anniversary in 2020, a year where the world was galvanised to fight a pandemic that took humanity by surprise. Meeting the challenge head-on, people, governments and corporations worked hard to save lives and jobs while resetting with new solutions and systems, and these new approaches continue to evolve for greater efficiencies and outcomes. We have our work cut out for us as we take the IPRS into both charted and uncharted futures. I thank the previous council for their invaluable contributions and look forward to working with the new council to serve our members, support practitioners in the wider communications domain and help organisations navigate an ever-changing media landscape,” said Juat Muay.
