Telum Talks To... Reta Lee, Editor-in-Chief, Yahoo Life Southeast Asia

The ‘loss of time’ has become a unifying sentiment during these pandemic years, shaping the impetus for community building across cultures. Telum Media speaks with Reta Lee, Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo Life Southeast Asia, on the inspiration behind her new book titled The Stories Women Journalists Tell. The book is a collection of essays by 22 women journalists across the Asia-Pacific region and aims to celebrate their experiences as unique stories of their own. With topics spanning travel, politics, and human interest, Reta shares about the journey of these women in a male-dominant newsroom culture, while reporting on the ground.

As a seasoned journalist, Reta’s first foray in writing began in 2006 when she was writing for entertainment magazines in Malaysia, before moving towards digital titles, such as MSN Malaysia and Business Insider, in 2009. Reta is currently based in Singapore and helms Yahoo’s lifestyle and entertainment content across all SEA markets.
