The 34^th Kenyalang Journalism Awards (KJA) 2022 was held on 9^th December at Imperial Hotel. This year, the awards received a total of 461 entries from print, electronic and broadcast media practitioners submissions and were divided into four language sections, English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Iban, as well as photo journalism and television broadcast categories. 

The recipients of the grand category, Chief Minister’s Award are as follows:
- Bahasa Malaysia language category: Suara Sarawak
- English language category: New Sarawak Tribune
- Chinese language category: See Hua Daily News
- Television and Online Video category: TVS
