Leya Teo has been named Managing Director at AKA Asia in Singapore. She will be leading the senior management team at the 55-strong agency. Leya brings more than 17 years' comms experience with her to AKA Asia, most recently as Vice President at Edelman. She spent more than seven years with the firm in locations including Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong, where she worked with clients including Mars, Tencent and Nissan.

Before that, Leya held senior roles at at J. Walter Thompson in Hong Kong, and at Singtel and Cheil Worldwide in Singapore. Leya was named Campaign Asia Women to Watch Greater China 2022 earlier this year.
