Gemma Jones appointed Editor at The Advertiser

Gemma Jones, The Daily Telegraph's Deputy Editor, has been appointed Editor of The Advertiser in Adelaide. She will begin her role in late September. It follows the announcement last month that the masthead's Editor, Matt Deighton, would be stepping down after four years in the role.

Gemma has worked for News Corp Australia for nearly two decades, initially joining the business in 2002 as a Newsroom Assistant. Since then, she has held a number of roles, including Chief of Staff at The Daily Telegraph and National Chief of Staff at The Australian.

Announcements on Gemma's replacement at The Daily Telegraph will be released in due course.
