Publication Profile: VibeCheck

1. Tell us more about VibeCheck - what is the publication about and what does it aim to achieve?
VibeCheck by Viu is a subsidiary media publication for the digital generation and we aim to be the hottest entertainment platform in Singapore and eventually the SEA region for digital content. Our core motivation is to inspire and connect with the digital generation of today through highly curated content on fashion, food, beauty, arts, design, music, lifestyle and viral stories.

2. What sort of content do you publish, and how often?
We publish all types of content, mostly short form videos and articles every day! Our content spans from food, fashion, design, music, lifestyle and Korean entertainment which our audience really loves.

3. Who is VibeCheck’s target audience?

Mostly the younger generation, Gen-Zs and young millennials.

4. What is the publication’s editorial focus for 2023?
We are focusing on all things holiday season (food, fashion, gifting, etc) and in 2023 we are hoping to really blow the space up and be a platform that everyone cool and in the know would want to be a part of. We also want to provide a space for the unabashed, the loud and proud, the quirky misfits to be celebrated and have a chance to express themselves.

5. What key trends or sectors are you following at the moment?
We're always on the lookout for the hottest places to shop at, and one that our audience loves is thrifting. We're currently on the lookout for the best places to thrift in Singapore and the nearby region. Also, with the number of concerts making its way back to Singapore's shores, we love keeping up with the music scene at the moment. Of course, we are always on the lookout for topics like fashion, liifestyle, travel, events, food and general entertainment.

6. What does your ideal PR pitch look like? Are there any pitches you’d like to receive more (or less!) of?
We are welcoming of all PR pitches because we love to stay in the loop of all things launching and happening. Ideally, we like it when the pitch is direct and straightforward, so our art team would know the kind of content to create for the digital space.
