Edelman's APAC Vice Chair, Michelle Hutton, has been given new responsibilities, with leadership of the firm's regional client and growth functions added to her remit. Michelle will also continue in her role as CEO of Edelman Australia until a successor has been named.

Edelman APAC senior team changes

To support Michelle in her expanded role, Fern Canning-Brook has been promoted to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Integrated Client Solutions, APAC. Fern was previously the Managing Director of Edelman Australia's Integrated Solutions offering.

Edelman has also announced the appointment of Susan Redden Makatoa as Head of Corporate for APAC, promoting her from Group Managing Director of Edelman Australia. Susan will lead Edelman's reputation and advisory practice across the region, reporting in to Stephen Kehoe, President and CEO of Edelman APAC, and Dave Samson, Global Vice Chair of Corporate Affairs.

Simon Murphy will take on a new role as Head of Corporate Innovation for APAC, working closely with Susan in her new role, embedding data and insights into the firm’s Corporate offering through a deeper collaboration with Edelman’s Digital and Data & Intelligence (DxI) units. For the past four years, he has been Head of Corporate for Edelman in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and will be returning to Australia in November.
