Sherson Willis announces new hire to enhance financial and government capabilities

Corporate Affairs firm, Sherson Willis, has strengthened its senior team with the strategic hire of Sam Durbin as Associate Director. He will be providing strategic advice and counsel to clients, and working closely with the leadership team to drive the firm’s delivery of services.

Sam joins from the Bank of New Zealand where he was an External Relations Consultant, responsible for delivering financial reporting and communications, managing media relations and implementing strategic communications for the bank. He also played a key role in developing and executing the government relations strategy for BNZ, engaging and working closely with key stakeholders in the political sector.

Sam's expertise in the financial sector and deep understanding of Aotearoa’s political landscape will enhance the firm’s financial and government relations offerings for clients. His experience in corporate affairs, government relations and corporate communications spans over a decade, with previous roles including at Fonterra and Spark.

Director Rewa Willis says: "We are excited to have Sam join the Sherson Willis team. His broad expertise particularly in the finance sector and extensive experience in government relations will be of great value to our clients."

"This strategic new hire reflects our commitment to growth and strengthening our offerings so we can continue to deliver the best results for our clients."
