Telum Media and the Google News Initiative have successfully completed their first round of digital media training workshops for 2022.

The workshops kicked off in August and have provided newsrooms around the country with hands-on training to find, verify and tell engaging multimedia stories. This year's sessions have been led by Mridula Amin, Google News Lab’s Teaching Fellow for Australia and New Zealand.

Workshops were held in Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch. Further sessions will be hosted in early 2023 in Wellington, Tauranga and Auckland.

Attendance is free, but spaces are limited and registration is essential. Telum Media will announce dates and venues for subsequent workshops in the new year.
