We’re looking to hire an experienced Public Relations leader (Account Director or a newly-appointed Senior Account Director level) with both consumer & corporate PR client experience to join an expanding comm’s agency.

This is a fantastic leadership opportunity to work on brands across a niche client community, to drive continuous growth and work closely with the GM and Digital Ops Director on key, corpsumer client work.

Leading a small team of enthusiastic PR Account Execs and PR Account Managers, you will drive national brands, nurture new clients, and continue to grow a successful PR company.

This leadership role will suit a PR Talent with proven experience (agency experience desired) in building and nurturing client relationships, and can lead by example.

The Opportunity:

• Support the Managing Director to drive consumer & corporate PR campaigns

• Be a strategic trusted client advisor through the delivery of an outstanding end-to-end client experience

• Set future PR strategies, plan annual budgets / forecasting, PR and client / product offerings

• Oversee stakeholder / client sponsorship management

• Work closely with the MD to hire, mentor & manage PR staff

• Build, lead and develop an engaged and dynamic PR team for the agency

• Oversee and supervise financials and client budgets for the agency

• Identify and participate in external thought leadership opportunities to build awareness of the agency’s expertise

• Act as a key player in hunting incremental and new business opportunities

• Organic & new business development (20%).

You:

• Live in Melbourne, Australia & have full working rights

• Have at least 7-8+ years public relations experience (local agency experience is preferred)

• Proven experience pitching and winning new clients

• Have an excellent understanding of the Australian media landscape

• Previous experience managing property clients is desirable

• You’re a conceptual thinker and leader and up to date with current digital trends across the Australian media landscape and platforms (web, mobile, audio, email and social media)

• Comfortable working at a creatively-fuelled, innovation-led agency

• You’re a natural storyteller and have innovative ways to bring a story to life through your work

• Have excellent communication and presentation skills (including written and verbal)

• Are a confident presenter and can articulate your ideas clearly

• Can develop presentation decks with a clear narrative
