Chris Gillett will finish as Supervising Producer / Melbourne Bureau Chief of the ABC's 7.30 programme at the end of December to become the new Series Producer of The Project in 2023. 

During his time at 7.30, Chris has produced numerous specials, including Nicola Gobbo: Lawyer X, Australia’s drought crisis, the economy, Coronavirus, and most recently, the Medicare scandal.

His work has been recognised with awards in Australia and abroad, including a New York Film Festival World Medal, three Press Club Quill awards, a Kennedy award, as well as Citi Journalism awards.
