FTI Consulting has announced the appointment of Eli Serota as a Director in the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications practice within the Strategic Communications segment in Singapore.

With an aim to strengthen the firm's cybersecurity crisis comms offerings in Asia, Eli will focus on partnering with its regional and global teams to support the increased demand for cybersecurity and data privacy communications advisory services. These services will place emphasis on the communication elements of cybersecurity preparedness and incident response, particularly those involving sensitive data such as personal identifiable information, protected health information and intellectual property.

Eli has advised organisations on their communications challenges in the face of double and triple extortion ransomware, phishing campaigns, human-engineered breaches and credential stuffing. He has also guided companies through incident response and post-incident reputation rebuild.

“Eli is well known within FTI Consulting, having previously been based in the firm’s Strategic Communications team in the US,” said Jane Morgan, Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment. "His experience spans multiple industries, and as we see increasing activity in cyber-related crises here in Asia Pacific, it was the right moment in time for him to join the team in Singapore, so we can accelerate our cybersecurity and data privacy communications offerings.”
