Kate Healy and Simona Varga have teamed up to launch a new PR agency in Queensland, pressed.

Kate (pictured, left) and Simona (right) first met at Red Republic, where Kate interned under Simona. The pair worked in tandem and rose through the agency, with Simona becoming Account Director and Brisbane Lead.

The full service agency offerers press liaison, campaign ideation, event and activations management, talent engagement and DIY programmes. Simona said they want to be a showroom for brands who are looking for an extension of their team. "We don’t want to be classified as an external agency, or an agency for that matter. Contract us out. We want to be an extension of your clients’ team and work for the brand, with the brand, surrounded by the people that know it best.”

Kate said the duo is eager to bring the basics back to the forefront, with their own flavour: “Many of our clients want that national agency knowledge as well as those local, intimate connections to build their brand but, in a way that is honest, succinct, and effective. That’s where we come in.”

Pressed. is hybrid-based between Brisbane and North Queensland, with the pair's combined 10 years' experience covering the travel, fashion, technology, sport and fitness, FMCG, hospitality, and property industries.
