Airbnb has appointed Sophie Onikul as Head of Communications, Australia and New Zealand. She takes on this role after several years at ebay Australia, where she led all facets of strategic communications including public relations, corporate reputation, issues and crisis management, as well as employee comms.

Sophie has amassed 20 years of communications, media relations and stakeholder engagement experience from roles for a NSW Government Minister, a start-up and a stint at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Prior to that, she spent 10 years working in radio, most notably at 2GB as Ray Hadley's Executive Producer.
