Sports Entertainment Network crossing the ditch
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has announced plans to expand into New Zealand with sports radio station, SENZ. The network plans to acquire 29 of TAB's FM and AM licences to establish studios in Auckland and Wellington. Programming will cover local and breaking sports news, as well as opinion and analysis. SEN currently operates 18 radio stations across Australia, as well as a newspaper and a magazine. The acquisition is conditional on meeting regulatory approvals and other commercial requirements, with an exact date still to be confirmed.
The network has also announced it has signed former Black Cap, Brendon McCullum, to co-host the station's Breakfast programme.
