The Kinabalu Press Awards ceremony organised by Sabah Journalist Association (SJA), in liaison with Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) as well as a collaboration with the State Government had taken place on 18^th December at The Pacific Sutera Hotel, Kota Kinabalu Sabah. This year, the award received a total of 270 entries in six categories which includes Entertainment, Arts and Culture, News Reporting, Business and Economics, Environmental Journalism, Sports Journalism, and Features done in Malay, Chinese, English, and broadcasting categories as well as the Best Picture Award.
