Our client is a leading global travel service provider. The company helps travellers plan and enjoy better trips with their advanced apps, websites, partnerships and 24/7 customer service centres.

As their international business has developed very quickly in 2023, they are now seeking to hire a Head of Content to join the International PR team. One of the key responsibilities of this role is to increase the share of voice for the company through the various consumer touchpoints be it website, media outlets, social media channels, events and others, by leveraging spokespeople, content from business units etc.

Onboarding for this role will be in Shanghai China for the first 6-12 months, with the option to be based in Shanghai or Singapore thereafter.

Key Requirements:

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism for B2C industries e.g. tourism, hospitality, consumer goods, commerce, consumer technology etc.
• Native level English speaker and writer. Proficiency in Mandarin will be a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience and understanding of the travel and tourism industry will be highly preferred.
• Experience in developing content strategy and content that caters to different audience and channels e.g. media, social media, website, corporate messaging, videos, infographics etc.
• A natural storyteller with a strategic mind who can design content that builds the company and brand on a longer-term horizon.
• Have prior people / team management experience and knows how to inspire / manage a cross border international team.
• Familiar working with C-suite leaders and function teams to draw out interesting stories.
• Familiar and comfortable working within matrix, flat hierarchy, multi-cultural and international organisations.
• A relationship builder who can establish rapport and nurture long term relations with stakeholders.
• Organised, strong in project and timeline management and highly attentive to details.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A self-starter with a calm and mature personality.
• Able to multitask and perform under pressure.
• Willing to travel for work.
