We are looking for an experienced writer with strong journalism instincts and an interest in data-driven storytelling. This role combines market analysis with day-to-day news reporting, producing in-depth features backed by property data while supporting the editorial team on daily news coverage, interviews and investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce data-led feature stories and long-form editorial content using EdgeProp's proprietary property data and market intelligence.

• Analyse property market trends, transaction data and industry developments to uncover compelling story angles.

• Conduct interviews with developers, industry leaders, policymakers and subject matter experts.

• Support daily editorial coverage, including news reporting, event coverage and breaking stories.

• Undertake investigative and research assignments where required.

• Work closely with editors, designers and the data team to translate complex information into engaging content, charts and infographics.

• Contribute ideas for special reports, thematic editions and editorial campaigns.

Qualification

• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Economics, Business, Urban Studies or a related discipline.

• At least 4 to 5 years' experience in journalism, business reporting or editorial content creation.

• Strong writing, interviewing and research skills with excellent command of English.

• Comfortable analysing data and translating findings into clear, engaging stories.

• Curious, analytical and able to identify newsworthy trends from data.

• Experience covering business, property, finance or economics will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with spreadsheets, data visualisation or analytical tools is a plus.
