AAJA-Asia's Digital N3 Salon with media cooperative Unfiltered
Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA)'s Asia Chapter announces to host the next N3 salon on building cross-border international collaborations on Sunday 1st October 2023 from 2pm to 5pm JST (1pm to 4pm SGT/HKT or 12pm to 3 pm BKK). This is a hybrid event hosted at Sophia University in Kioicho, Chiyoda in Tokyo. It can also be viewed via Zoom with English and Japanese simultaneous translation.
- In the first session of the two-part symposium, three award-winning journalists, including Yosepha Pusparisa from Indonesia, Nithin Coca from Japan and Nicha Wachpanich from Thailand, will discuss their experiences working together in several countries to produce a series of stories on the spread of waste-to-energy technology from Japan to Southeast Asia.
- In the second session, community members and workers interviewed for the story will share their views and discuss its impacts on workers, local communities, and the environment. The event is co-hosted by Japan-based journalists' cooperative Unfiltered and Institute of Global Concern at Sophia University.
