Kylie Smith appointed EGM of Corporate Affairs at CBA

Kylie Smith has been appointed Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).

She has more than 25 years of corporate affairs, communications and marketing experience in the financial services sector, with senior leadership positions at Perpetual, Westpac and BT Financial Group. Kylie was most recently Group Executive Communications, Digital and Marketing for MLC Wealth at National Australia Bank, responsible for corporate affairs, marketing, communications, digital, product disclosure and customer complaints.

Kylie will take up her new role at CBA on 7th March, a few weeks ahead of Jo Boundy, who was recently announced as the bank's new Chief Marketing Officer. Jo had previously led marketing, customer, communication, digital and entertainment teams at organisations including Optus, British Telecom, Google and, most recently, Qantas.

CBA's Group Executive for Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Monique Macleod, said she was looking forward to Kylie and Jo joining the team: "Both are very well respected leaders, who will bring a depth of strategic thinking, creativity, and a proven track record of delivery to our team. Their values and enthusiasm for leading and developing talent will play a significant role in helping us deliver our ambitious agenda for the future.”
