Syed Mohammed Idid has announced his departure from PLUS Malaysia as its Head of Corporate Communications where he spent four years at the company. Syed told Telum he would be taking a break from the industry before deciding his next career move.

Syed has worked in Malaysia's communications industry for over 30 years, working for companies including Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia and Standard Chartered Bank. He also established his own boutique agency Syed Idid Associate, in 2017.

Syed said in a statement confirming his departure: "I am truly grateful to my Corporate Communications team and the senior leadership for their trust and empowerment to bring the brand reputation upwards. The accolades attained over these past four years are nothing short of that testament of trust. As I exit the toll highway industry, I will stop for some R&R and smell the coffee, before I decide on my next interchange."
