Leadership update at Companion Communications

Companion Communications has named Alex Berry Head of Dining Projects. Since joining the firm in 2020 as an Account Director, Alex has supported its dining clients from the Hong Kong office. She managed strategy, content development and partnerships for brands including The Arcane Collective, BaseHall 1, FRANCIS and Meraki Hospitality Group.

In her new role, Alex will oversee new business development and trade and industry relations and will manage the dining team across PR, content, social media and partnership activations. Alex brings more than a decade of experience to this position, including stints at Gemma Bell & Company in London and Maximal Concept in Hong Kong.

Alex comments of her promotion, "I feel very encouraged by the tenacity of the industry, and excited to move into this new role, furthering my focus on the management and nurturing of the agency’s F&B projects in Asia."

"Alex has been a key part of the Companion team since we first opened our doors. Through the last three years, she has helped create some of the most successful dining campaigns in Hong Kong, working hand in hand with our clients during the pandemic to find solutions to an industry battered by policy changes," says Dominique Backhouse, Managing Director of Companion Communications. "Now, as Hong Kong and Asia re-emerges and hospitality starts to flourish, I am delighted that Alex is expanding her role to help lead the dining arm of Companion's servicing."
