News Corp Australia restructures women's lifestyle portfolio, announces closure of whimn and launch of new magazine

News Corp Australia has announced a new multi-platform offering, News Women's Network, which will house the publisher's women's lifestyle portfolio. As part of the change, whimn.com.au will cease publishing on 30th June, with relevant content to then be housed on bodyandsoul.com.au. And, a new magazine, combining both the body+soul and Stellar brands, will launch on 5th July.

The News Women's Network will include body+soul, Kidspot.com.au, Stellar and news.com.au's "Lifestyle" vertical.

As part of the changes, the following appointments have been announced:
  • Kate de Brito, current Editor-in-Chief of news.com.au, will expand her role to oversee editorial direction of Kidspot.com.au.
  • Sarrah Le Marquand will step into the Editor-in-Chief position at body+soul and Stellar, with responsibility extending to bodyandsoul.com.au. She will oversee the aforementioned combined magazine of body+soul and Stellar, and will report to recently-appointed National Weekend Editor Mick Carroll.
