SBS to launch multilingual news channel

SBS has announced its plans to launch a free-to-air multilingual news channel in 2022. The channel, SBS WorldWatch, will feature a line-up of bulletins from international broadcasters in more than 30 languages.

SBS WorldWatch will also broadcast two 30-minute television news programmes each weeknight, in Mandarin and Arabic. These will be produced locally by SBS journalists and will premiere on SBS On Demand in January 2022, ahead of SBS WorldWatch's launch.

Further details on the launch of SBS WorldWatch will be revealed in early 2022.
