TODAY, an online news site focusing on current affairs, social issues, politics, foreign news, and sports, has launched a new project called TODAY59, summing up current news and issues in a 59-second video. The survey findings of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism in 2023 state that over 30% of Thai internet users consume news on TikTok and Thailand also ranks as the No.1 country that consumes short-form video the most. Hence, TODAY wants to be the first mover at creating short-form content and meeting young people's needs.
